BackupAssist v 9.5.2 | Windows | File size: 113 MB
BackupAssist is a Windows Server Backup and Disaster Recovery application. Built to serve the small to medium business markets, it provides protection for Microsoft Windows Server, Windows Small Business Server, Hyper-V, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server. BackupAssist is an application that allows the backup of Microsoft Windows servers, and is designed to integrate and enhance the existing backup tools present in the Windows operating system.

Backupassist allows you to automate your entire network. This Windows Server backup software should work with all of your local and network-attached memory storage devices, including cloud services. Additional features and add-ons help you tailor the software to your individual network needs - features like roaming profiles, physical to virtual recovery, and recovering to dissimilar hardware Backupassist

Having reliable backup software for your small office or home office can sometimes mean the difference between success and failure for your business. BackupAssist's data verification and TrueCrypt-compatible encryption keeps your backups accurate and secure. An optional Rsync add-on further optimizes your backups for remote site storage.

Management Tools
The available management tools from Backupassist fall under the web-based Central Administration console that allows you to manage all of the backup operations on your LAN. The web console provides a central interface where you can view reports and run functions from both local and remote locations. This highly configurable console sets up on an HTTP port by default, but can use HTTPS with your digital SSL Certificate.

Backup Features
The Central Administration Backup tab gives you quick access to five backup functions: System Protection, File Protection, File Archiving, Exchange Mailbox Protection and SQL Server Protection. backupassist reviews

System Protection is where you create full system imaged backups. It's with these image files that you can restore files and applications. You can also run bare-metal recovery with the RecoverAssist boot media. System Protection tools are limited to Windows Server 2008 and later. Earlier versions must use NTBackup.

File Protection and File Archiving are two great features that expand on existing technologies. File Protection can even be enhanced with the Rsync add-on to recursively synchronize compressed files with minimal latency. File Archiving uses your own Windows system to compress your files in a standard ZIP format from which they can be encrypted.

BackupAssist doesn't just stop at your primary server either. It features protection for your Exchange Mailbox and offers more for your SQL Server as well. You can restore mailboxes, folders and individual messages with Direct Exchange Injection on your Exchange server. backupassist reviews

The SQL Server Protection feature backs up your SQL Server database, including the Master Database, but requires the BackupAssist SQL add-on to function.

Recovery Options
The Central Administration Restore and Recovery tabs provide two different ways to make your data whole again. The Restore tab Home menu gives you the ability to restore data files and applications on the Active Directory, which is the recommended restoration method. It is from this menu that you're also able to restore your Microsoft Hyper-V, SQL and Exchange servers. The Restore tab Tools menu provides the manual tools, including one for restoring from an image or tape drive.

BackupAssist's Recovery tab also helps you restore your system after a catastrophic failure. The two features on the Recovery tab are there to help you create bootable disks. One creates the disk based on your installed version of Windows, while the other helps you create a boot disk from your installation CD. Backupassist Crack & Serial

Sometimes your recovery needs cannot be met from in the OS or pre-OS states and you instead need to restart from a blank machine. With BackupAssist's Bare Metal Restore you can recover a complete operating system to a machine with dissimilar hardware. This option is ideal for backups stored on an externally connected USB hard drive.
