The Altair product team is pleased to announce the availability of Inspire Form (ex Click2Form) 2019.3 Build 2304, is a sheet metal forming simulation software that enables design engineers and cost estimators to optimize their products for manufacturing by considering formability, material utilization and cost.

You can now define the rolling direction for the blank in Tryout.

Positioning Method
You can now define the positioning method for individual tools in the Edit Position context. The positioning method is maintainedand listed on the legend.
Compensate
New result type Compensate Distance allows you to measure the minimum distance between the springback part and thereference part selected.
Description Window
You can now change the color, axis scale, and title font of the XY Descriptions of your forming simulation results.
New Extract Face
The Surface from Skin feature is restored with the Midsurface tool.

Altair Inspire Form is a complete stamping simulation environment that can effectively be used by product designers and process engineers to optimize designs, simulate robust manufacturing and reduce material costs. The automated blank nesting proposes an efficient layout of the flattened blank on the sheet coil to maximize material utilization. Altair Inspire Form also offers an innovative user experience to seamlessly transition between design and analysis through a highly intuitive user interface designed for beginners and experts alike. It enables part and process designers to evaluate manufacturability early in the development cycle to avoid costly trials downstream. Altair Inspire Form automatically generates a report for fitted and nested blanks to help maximize material utilization
