Application

Phytosterol is a natural active substance, which can reduce the content of total cholesterol in serum and the level of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. Using hydroxypropyl beta cyclodextrin inclusion phytosterols, the nonpolar cavity for sterol nonpolar carbon chain section provides a good space, then the inherent hydroxyl groups of the sterol part exposed side, and inherent in cyclodextrin hydroxyl increased overall hydrophilic properties, thus improving the sterol solubility in water.
