Luminar programhas been rebuilt from scratch to significantly improve performance. Existing filters provide a more natural and rich color and depth, while working faster. A completely new optimized user interface speeds up work with presets, filters and masks. The program provides functions such as layers, masks and blending modes, so you can easily perform complex processing.
Luminar offers a new RAW processing engine that can process high-quality images faster. In addition, lens distortion correction features are available that eliminate vignette distortion, distortion, and color. If undesirable perspectives appear in a photograph, the new Transform tool can quickly solve them.
Luminar offers more than 40 filters for color correction , sharpness of details. New filters include the ability to enhance color with Brilliance, selectively lighten or darken certain areas of the image with Dodge & Burn, and the ability to change lighting and add sunlight to photos using Sun Rays.

Innovations that appeared in this program compared to Lightroom
- Artificial intelligence-based filters have appeared in the program that allow you to achieve the effect, literally, of "cool photo". In addition to real-time noise reduction, these filters are very easy to use. But if they are few, the program has about 100 presets with 40 additional filters.
- The new RAW processing processor in Luminar has become faster in working with high-resolution photographs. The program can remove distortion, vignetting and aberration, correct the perspective. In general, everything that Lightroom can do.
- Luminar has the ability to work with layers, brushes and masks. There is a function Clone Stamp. Again, Lightroom users will not find anything special about this.
- You can also use LUTs. For quick conversion to black and white shots and for applying creative color effects in one click. All Lightroom presets can be converted to LUTs for Luminar using a third-party program.
- A free asset manager for Luminar will be released later and it will also support Lightroom catalogs. However, nothing new, because the Lightroom directory is an ordinary SQL database.
