To help you design innovative products within a shorter timeline, LMS Imagine.Lab 14 comes with new multi-domain libraries, application-oriented solutions, an enhanced solver and numerical capabilities coupled with powerful analysis tools. We focused our development efforts on improving usability, efficiency and openness to accelerate model-based systems engineering and streamline collaborative work.

LMS Imagine.Lab Amesim 14 offers strong solver and numerical capabilities coupled with powerful analysis tools such as an enhanced performance analyzer, multithreading capabilities for CFD1D models and algebraic loop highlighting. It brings new functionalities for model-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop and real-time simulations. LMS Amesim 14 supports the FMI 2.0 co-simulation master and provides improved Modelica event handling. It comes with CAD file import/export capabilities as well as enhanced app and statechart designers.

Integrate Model-based Systems Engineering into Your Organization
LMS Imagine.Lab Sysdm 14 offers you a direct link to Teamcenter. System simulation is now integrated under the umbrella of product lifecycle management, taking into account daily versioning and branching. LMS Imagine.Lab System Synthesis 14 has embedded architecture-driven design capabilities, allowing you to design your reference architecture and configure it with models from the repository. You can also create tool-neutral reference architectures.

Maximize Model Accuracy
Multiple enhanced components and models in LMS Imagine.Lab 14 ensure better scalability and simulation accuracy. You can now model gas transport in liquid systems and condensate droplet transport in gases. LMS Imagine.Lab 14 also offers 3D mechanical junctions for real-time simulations and pre-calibrated lithium-ion nickel cobalt aluminum (NCA-C) battery models. It provides a dedicated graphical user interface (GUI) for easier data import from finite element modeling (FEM) software, as well as discrete partitioning for thermal-hydraulic libraries to reduce CPU time.

Facilitating Vehicle Subsystem Design and Attributes Balancing
To support innovation in the automotive and ground vehicle industries, LMS Imagine.Lab 14 offers capabilities for engine map creation from public data, automatic calibration of combustion models and analysis of tire behavior on soft soil, applications for faster engine and valve definition and parameterization of any after-treatment system, as well as a GUI for gear parameterization. The engine block application helps you optimize engine mount locations, their stiffness and damping characteristics. You can also predict the performance of heat exchangers that use R407C, R404A and R410A fluids, and benefit from using the LMS Test.Lab GUI to conduct advanced noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) analysis.

Boost System Performance with Virtual Aircraft
LMS Imagine.Lab 14 brings numerous advanced features to support model-based systems engineering for the aerospace and defense industries. For aircraft fuel systems, a 3D modeling assistant allows you to create a 3D scene with bi-directional parameter updates. You can now account for altitude and acceleration variations when sizing fluid pipes. Aircraft body models take into account aerodynamic loads as well as environmental settings. New jet engine models enable fuel consumption analysis as well as thermodynamic analysis for propulsion system pre-design at aircraft-level, while taking into account various flight missions. The propeller performance map generator helps you accurately design propeller propulsion systems.
