Acute3D, a Bentley Systems company, pleased to announce the release of ContextCapture Editor CONNECT Edition Update 1 , a 3D CAD based on PowerDraft that allows you to leverage reality meshes, terrain models, and point clouds made of billions of points and triangles for use in information modeling workflows.

Scalable Mesh

Attach and display Bentley's new Scalable Mesh format.

The following tools have been enhanced to support this new Reality Mesh format:
- Sections

- Ground Extraction

ProjectWise ContextShare integration

ProjectWise ContextShare allows you to securely manage, store, and share large amounts of Reality Modeling data.

The ProjectWise ContextShare integration allows to:
- Convert local Reality Mesh to the Reality Mesh 3DTiles format and upload to ProjectWise ContextShare.
- Attach and stream Reality Mesh 3DTiles from ProjectWise ContextShare.

Volume Calculation
Analyze volume differences in a defined area between two Reality Mesh or a Reality Mesh and design element. The tool returns Cut and Fill volumes and a raster grid that can be displayed using existing thematic display functionalities.
Quick Ground Extraction
Extract terrain from an area of a Reality Mesh to a new Reality Mesh attachment and seamlessly display the result using clips.
Tile Terrain
Extract and tile terrain from a Reality Mesh to multiple Terrain Model elements or LandXML files.
Convert Reality Mesh
Convert 3MX files to Bentley's new Scalable Mesh format.
Generate Scalable Mesh from terrain data
Generate Scalable Mesh files containing terrain data from sources such as: DTM and TIN files, LandXML, DEM rasters, classified Point Clouds, Scalable Terrain Models and DGN elements.

About ContextCapture. ContextCapture, a new solution developed on the basis of the former Smart3DCapture technology, a software solution allowing to produce high resolution 3D models from simple photographs, without any human intervention. The principle of ContextCapture is to analyze several photographs of a static subject, taken from different viewpoints, and to automatically detect pixels corresponding to a same physical point. From many such correspondences, relative orientations of photos and accurate 3D shape of the scene can be inferred. ContextCapture solves this problem with cutting edge photogrammetry, computer vision and computational geometry algorithms fulfilling industrial-quality requirements in terms of precision, scalability, efficiency, usage, robustness and interoperability.
