(2-Hydroxypropyl)-γ-cyclodextrin, HPGCD is a gamma cyclodextrin that is a derivative of an 8-membered sugar ring molecule. (2-Hydroxypropyl)-γ-cyclodextrin can crosslink to form longer polymers. This overall is a very useful chemical for supramolecular chemistry. (2-Hydroxypropyl)-γ-cyclodextrin is also used in the solubilization of macromolecules and in cell culture applications. (2-Hydroxypropyl)-γ-cyclodextrin is similar to β-Cyclodextrin (sc-204430), but (2-Hydroxypropyl)-γ-cyclodextrin can work with larger molecules.

Hydroxypropyl Gamma cyclodextrin is recommended for high value-added special materials products, such as medicine, health care products, cosmetics or other larger molecularor which hydroxypropyl beta cyclodextrin has no ability to treat.
