This is an introductory course, so designed for those who wish to explore the main fields of manual medicine that are commonly practised, and are popular with patients today. This includes a brief history, philosophical theories, and how they are applied clinically and integrated into a wide range of modern allopathic and other alternative medicines. This will provide an idea for the therapies that you may wish to study in more depth and maybe at a professional level in the future. This course is accredited and recognised for CPD and foundational purposes by the College of the Society of Naturopathic Doctors in the UK. Included are topics on the following manual medicines;1, Introduction. 2, Manual medicines and the different types.3, Introduction to massage. 4, A back massage practical routine for you to have a go at home on a family member or friend. 5, Introduction to Osteopathy and Chiropractic. 6, Introduction to Physiotherapy and Sports Therapy. 7, Introduction to Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Both static and dynamic forms). 8, Biomechanics and Academic Kinesiology as opposed to applied/alternative kinesiology.9, What to look for when choosing a course, accreditation, licensure and legal aspects of practising in your location, and of course how to turn this course into an accredited certificate.
