In this workshop I will be teaching the complete process of changing the crank case oil, transmission oil, and primary oil on a Harley Davidson Big Twin engine. The skills, concepts, and techniques can be applied to any make of motorcycle provided you have a service manual for torque and fill specifications.


You will also learn about the tools necessary to perform the oil change correctly. The workshop will include:

Draining the oil
Removing, preparing, and replacing the oil filter
Preparing the drain plug
Filling the motorcycle with new oil
Draining and filling the transmission oil
Draining and filling the primary oil

Changing the oil on your motorcycle yourself will save you money, prolong the life of the engine, ensure you know what type of oils are being used, provides the opportunity to spot other potential issues, and instills a sense of pride when you know you've done the job yourself.
